Lewisburg, W Va, seems to be a biker-friendly town. Years ago I rode through looking to spend the night without reservations, and most hotels were booked up for a Harley rally. I found an old-school motor hotel north of the interstate, and the family that ran the place let me park my bike on the covered porch when the weather forecast warned about hail overnight. I very much appreciated their willingness to be helpful. Lewisburg would be a great place to base a trip if this friendliness is commonplace.

Reminds me of the Foresthill Bridge in CA – and the road that follows is pretty good and isolated too, all the way to French Meadow.

I’m in Louisville and have made this trip many times. Amazing roads. Hit the Snowshoe area next time and then head towards Glenville. More fantastic roads.
